My name is Bill Woolf. I am a painter, photographer, and film-maker…and I like to travel. Travel moves one in many ways…it opens up the mind giving it a flexible mentality…it lets you see how different people and cultures survive on this vast globe…it helps one to interpret the world by understanding others and their different lives. My short films show this diverse world, its landscapes, both natural and human-made…and its people. The title sequence at beginning of the short films is a sketch or painting I did on location related to the video. I upload short films often.
I received a B.A. Degree (with honors) and a M.S. Degree from The Ohio State University, Columbus, Ohio. I obtained my Ph.D. from Cornell University, Ithaca, New York. I was a college professor and a practicing psychotherapist. Over these years I also studied art and photography at The Ohio State University, The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and as art started to occupy all my life I returned to school for an M.F.A. in Studio Art which I received from The Florida State University, Tallahassee, Florida. I taught painting and drawing in the United States and Italy.

Mi chiamo Bill Woolf. Sono un pittore, fotografo e regista... e mi piace viaggiare. Il viaggio commuove in molti modi... apre la mente dandogli una mentalità flessibile... ti fa vedere come sopravvivono persone e culture diverse su questo vasto globo... aiuta a interpretare il mondo comprendendo gli altri e le loro diverse vite. I miei cortometraggi mostrano questo mondo variegato, i suoi paesaggi, sia naturali che creati dall'uomo... e la sua gente. La sequenza dei titoli all'inizio dei cortometraggi è uno schizzo o un dipinto che ho realizzato sul posto in relazione al video. Carico spesso cortometraggi.
Ho ricevuto il Baccalaureato (con lode) e la Laurea Magistrale presso la Ohio State University, Columbus, Ohio. Ho conseguito il Dottorato di Ricerca presso la Cornell University, Ithaca, New York. Sono stato professore universitario e psicoterapeuta praticante. Nel corso degli anni ho anche studiato arte e fotografia presso l'Ohio State University, l'Università di Wisconsin-Milwaukee e The School of the Art Institute di Chicago. In seguito, quando l'arte ha cominciato a impegnarmi totalmente ho conseguito un M.F.A. in Studio Art presso la Florida State University, Tallahassee, Florida. Ho insegnato pittura e disegno sia negli Stati Uniti sia in Italia.
